Construction on the Esposti Park Playground is tentatively scheduled to start the week of October 26, 2026.

About the Project

The Esposti Park Improvements Project is part of the Town’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP), approved by Town Council as part of the 2025–2027 budget. The project will enhance the northwestern corner of Esposti Park with a new playground, restroom, park furnishings, pathways, and landscaping improvements.

The project is being coordinated with the Town’s Public Works Well Treatment Facility Project. During the August 6, 2025, Town Council meeting, staff presented plans for the Well Project and discussed a future playground next to the facility’s access driveway (click here for meeting video). Because the two projects have different timelines, the park improvements will be completed in phases to make the most of available funding and construction resources.

The project is funded through Park Development Funds, which are dedicated to expanding Windsor’s park system to meet the needs of a growing community. These funds must be used for park development within Windsor and cannot be used for the maintenance or operation of existing parks and amenities.

With new housing bringing more residents to the area, Town Council approved the project during the 2025–2027 budget cycle to help meet the community’s growing recreational needs. Plans for a playground at Esposti Park have been discussed since 2007.

On January 14, 2026, the Parks and Recreation Commission reviewed the initial project plans and heard public feedback (click here for meeting video).

We look forward to sharing this new amenity with our Windsor community soon!
